I joined Kennedy Way Surgery as a partner in 1994, becoming the second lady partner. I grew up in the Midlands and qualified at Birmingham University, gaining my Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree. I went on to work in two Birmingham Hospitals and then joined the Stoke Mandeville Hospital Training Scheme for General Practitioners in 1990. This involved two years of hospital specialities, then one year in GP training in a Practice in Leighton Buzzard. I then achieved the MRCGP exam - Member of the Royal College of Physicians. My interests evolved particularly in Dermatology and ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat).
