Urgent Problems

Please try to ring as early as possible if you feel you need to be seen the same day as the triage team will be taking calls between 8.30 and 9.30am.

These requests will be dealt with by the Triage Team consisting of the on call doctor and a specially trained nurse.

- The receptionist will ask your name, telephone number and brief details. This will be entered on a list for the triage team to call you back.

You do not have to give details of your medical condition to the receptionist if you object.

- A triage team member will call you back to assess your condition as soon as possible

- We have a range of doctors and nurses with specialist skills. When the triage team telephone, you will either be given advice, booked for an advance appointment with the most appropriate team member or alternatively, more urgent matters will be dealt with by the triage team.

We are confident that this new system will help you to receive the most appropriate treatment and make best use of the appointments that are available.

We hope that you will be patient during this period of change. Everyone in the team does their best for you and whilst it may take a while to adjust to the new system, we are sure that it will result in shorter waiting times and a better quality service.

We will be monitoring changes and welcome any comments that you might have.

Seeing Your Doctor

Pre-Booking Appointments

If you would like an appointment on a specific day, you can pre book up to six weeks in advance for a morning appointment and three weeks in advance for an afternoon / evening appointment, as long as there are pre-bookable appointments available.

Same Day Appointments

Ring in the morning between 8.30 am and 9.30 am. If you wish to be seen that day. Our Triage Team will ring you back within two hours.

Please help us by being on time for your appointment and let us know if you need to cancel.

Ring any time between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm to pre book an ADVANCE appointment.

Badminton Surgery

There is a twice weekly branch surgery at Badminton for local residents. No appointment is necessary. The times are:

MONDAY and FRIDAY 10 - 11 am

Nurse Surgery Wednesday 10.30 am - 12 noon
