-to provide a link between the patients and the Practice -to fund additional equipment for the Practice The Committee The Committee runs the Group on behalf of the patients. But it is important to remember that all patients are automatically members of the Group, but the Committee membeers who represent the the patients are elected at the Annual General Meeting which is usually held in June.
We would welcome new members of the Committee. You don't have to be an expert on anything (but that might help). What really matters is your willingness to help patients by helping the two surgeries in the practice (Kennedy Way and Badminton) with their work, especially by the fund raising. We have our friendly committee meetings about four times a year. If you would like to become a committee member please leave a message at reception including your name, address and contact number. Paintings You might not be aware of it but the paintings that you see displayed around the surgery are for sale. Fifteen percent of the price of each painting sold is given to the Patients Participation Group so you will also help the Practice when you buy a painting, and we also receive a hanging fee for each painting displayed.
