Confidentiality Policy

You are assured of our utmost confidentiality at all times. No information contained in your medical records will be disclosed to a third party unless you give your written consent. Computerised information, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, will not be disclosed unless your consent has been obtained.

Please tell the receptionist if you wish to speak to a member of the practice team privately.

Access to Medical Records Act 1990 - you are entitled to see your medical records. However, "the record holder may withhold any information which may cause harm to physical or mental health, or identify a third party. The record holder does not have to disclose the fact that information has been withheld."

Please ask the receptionist for a form which has to be completed and she will make a non-urgent appointment for you to view them with the Doctor who will be able to explain the contents to you.
