Found at the front of the Medical Records Building at Frenchay Hospital, this is the only walk-in health library in the Avon area. Open between 9 - 4pm, you can browse through books, listen to videos or audiotapes, or obtain fact sheets/leaflets.

Trained, experienced staff can give information, but not diagnosis, medical advice or counselling. An up-to-date listing of over 900 local, and 4,000 national support groups, help lines and self-help societies can be provided at request.

This service is mainly for patients who want to understand more about their condition; or carers and family members who are looking for more information and support in dealing with a medical problem.
